Utilizing leading edge bulk welding technology enables us to weld wide dense layers of 1/4-inch (6mm) thick chrome carbide to a steel base plate. Approximately 1-1/2-inches (38mm) wide overlapping weld bands are simultaneously fused to the base material and to each other. The resulting fusion clad wear plate has a matrix hardness of 55 to 61 Rockwell C. Performax abrasion resistant plate will outperform any other comparable wear plate.
