Nevertheless, breakage is not uncommon if the manufacturer overlooked the fact that the plates should not only be wear resistant, but also
have structural strength.
We designed our breaker plates with integral ribs on the back to make them stiff and resist breakage. This design, in turn, allows us
to choose the most wear resistant material available. The plates are cast in impact hardening manganese, which gets harder the more impact
it gets.
